This is a new position! The role of our HR Coordinator will be to support our management team in all aspects of human resources management.


Job Summary:

Tamalpais Pediatrics is a welcoming, progressive high quality medical practice specializing in the care of children from birth through adolescence, with offices in Larkspur and Novato. We are looking for an HR Coordinator that will share our team’s dedication to providing the highest quality experience for our patients and their families. 

The role of our HR Coordinator will be to support our management team in all aspects of human resources management. HR Coordinator will be involved across the employment continuum, including recruiting and onboarding, benefits, payroll, performance management, and offboarding. This is a new position, ideal for the right individual who strives to help advance peoples’ engagement and wellbeing at a growing organization.

Job Duties:

  • Manage recruiting efforts including job board maintenance, applicant tracking and screening, and interview coordination.
  • Manage new hire onboarding process. 
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy of data uploads to payroll system.
  • Facilitate enrollment of employee benefits, helping build employee awareness of options, and serving as liaison for employees to benefit providers.
  • Maintain a learning management system, including assignment of regularly required training, and updating of staff certifications.
  • Administer leaves of absences in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Advise leadership team on relevant HR, compliance, and legal topics.
  • Utilize external resources as appropriate to answer HR related questions.
  • Assist Management team to design and maintain a performance management system
  • Maintain our employee handbook.
  • Coordinate job descriptions for accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist to perpetuate and expand wellness activities, including coordinating occasional office parties.
  • Leverage and promote our Employee Assistance Program benefit.
  • Collaborates appropriately with the Executive Director, Managers, and other staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Degree in Human Resources Management or similar, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge and research capability of applicable local, state, and federal HR laws.
  • Experience utilizing an electronic payroll and benefits system (Gusto or similar) is required.
  • Experience utilizing an electronic time and attendance system (QuickBooks Time, T-Sheets, or similar) is preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare organizations is preferred.
  • Experience maintaining the HealthStream learning management system is helpful.
  • SHRM or PRI certification is preferred.
  • Must be a reliable team player, very detail oriented, computer literate, and self-directed.
  • Must be able to work in both our Novato and Larkspur offices
