We’re looking for an outgoing and energetic fitness junkie with group fitness coaching experience to join our CAMP coaching team! CAMP is a sophisticated bootcamp program designed for athletes at all fitness levels.

Syracuse Sweat Club (est. 2012) is a boutique gym that offers personal training and two outstanding group fitness programs: CrossFit Syracuse and CAMP. We’ve earned a strong reputation in Central New York and beyond for our high standards around programming, coaching, facility, community, and customer service.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Coach approximately 6-10 hours of CAMP classes per week
  • Optional: Conduct personal training, schedule at your discretion


The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have a degree in the field and/or reputable group fitness coaching certification(s). 
  • Be a dedicated fitness professional.
  • Demonstrate energy, values, and professionalism consistent with the Syracuse Sweat Club brand.
  • Be committed to education and familiar with CrossFit, bootcamp, nutrition, and fitness industry trends.
  • Have 1+ years of experience and an outstanding track record in a bootcamp coaching position (references will be requested).
  • Have high standards and a growth mindset.
  • Be a team player invested in the overall success of the Sweat Club community. 


Preferred, Not Required:

  • Personal training certification and a desire to work with clients 1:1 in our personal training studio.
  • CrossFit Level 1 certification or willingness to obtain. 


Hours: 

  • Approximately 6-10 hours of group coaching per week. Your class assignments will be consistent every week, with additional opportunities for class hours when coverage is needed. 
  • Afternoon weekday availability is a must (4pm - 7pm), additional weekday and Saturday morning availability preferred. 
  • Any personal training hours will be at your discretion. 


Compensation and Benefits 

  • Class coaching compensation is $30/hour.
  • Personal training compensation is 50% of the session rate (session rates start at $80/hour and vary by trainer depending on experience and credentials). 
  • Complimentary Syracuse Sweat Club membership ($175/month value), discounted membership for immediate family members (spouses, children).
  • Health Insurance available to employees averaging 30+ hours per week.
  • PTO available to employees averaging 30+ hours per week.


Salary

$30 - $60 per hour
