Job Overview:

As the Operations Director - Anaerobic Digestion at Synthica Energy, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the operations of our digester facilities across the United States. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual who is passionate about renewable energy and making a positive impact on the environment. This is a full-time position based in either Blue Ash, OH or Portsmouth, NH, depending on your preference.

Responsibilities:

- Build and manage a high-performing team of operators and technicians at multiple digester facilities.

- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize the performance and efficiency of anaerobic digestion processes.

- Monitor and analyze digester operations data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure seamless operations.

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols.

- Oversee the training and development programs for the operations team to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and report on the performance of the digester facilities.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall profitability.

- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in anaerobic digestion operations.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the renewable energy or waste management industry.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of anaerobic digestion processes, including biogas production, nutrient recovery, and waste treatment.

- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to anaerobic digestion operations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to travel to different digester facilities across the United States as needed.
