Job Summary

Synapse is looking for a dynamic Content Marketer with a passion for and proven ability to create content that not only looks and sounds amazing, but also drives real business results. The ideal candidate for this role is a writer and creator at the top of their field who can take an idea and turn it into a powerful force for client growth. Within this role, you will work closely with our strategy team and leadership to create inbound marketing strategies to build brand identities and significantly enhance the online presence for our clients through the creation and strategic dissemination of multimedia content online. This involves developing content strategies, growing an online community, tracking that community’s growth, and finding that spark between creativity and strategy.

 

Responsibilities

Your daily schedule will be varied, working on multiple projects for various Synapse clients. These projects are anything but boring and provide a Content Marketer the opportunity to flex their skills across a broad range of content marketing practices, techniques, and tactics.

 

  • Content Strategy: Develops insightful, effective, and efficient content marketing strategies and plans based on market and competitive research; creates content topics, themes, plans and content calendars; devises multi-channel strategies for content production and distribution to achieve business targets; analyzes performance of content and makes recommendations to internal teammates and clients.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Creates creative, effective, unique, and high-quality ad concepts and ad copy, headlines, links, and messaging strategy for print and digital ads; collaborates with designers and other professionals to successfully communicate appropriate message and brand position for client ad campaigns across a variety of digital channels.
  • Copywriting & Content Creation: Writes professional copy and creates high-quality content for client marketing assets and campaigns: web pages, blogs, whitepapers, articles, social media posts, emails, videos, banner ads, video ads, presentations, brochures and marketing literature, and more; collaborates with and provides direction to designers, developers, and other marketers to execute these ideas.
  • Social Media Marketing: Creates social media posts, campaigns, content, pages, ads, and other social media assets; conducts user research using Social Listening; collaborates with other brands and influencers.
  • Website Copy: Write and edit website copy using best practices in SEO and User Experience while remaining in alignment with the client’s brand and communication strategy; selects images for website content and develop creative approaches to communicate information tailored to the needs of the target audience.
  • Content SEO: Creates content-based SEO strategies to create and optimize content on websites using WordPress; conducts keyword, competitor, and market research to identify optimal content strategy for client campaigns and uses this research to create interesting content for websites and marketing campaigns, social media pages, and marketing communications.
  • Process/Continuous Improvement: Assesses and recommends new technology to improve processes, create efficiencies, and increase quality levels; proactively generate ideas to increase customer engagement; edits, proofreads, and improves content.
  • Project Management: Creates and maintains editorial calendars, executes deliverables, collaborates with a team, and ensures that deadlines are met.
  • Performance/Analytics: Audits web content to uncover areas for improvement and develop a plan to act; optimize content considering SEO and Google Analytics, analyzes web traffic metrics and present key insights; ensure a strong web presence on various channels.

 

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced training in the field of marketing, communications, or related fields.
  • Five years + experience in a B2B content marketing role, preferably within an agency or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated history of successful results in marketing.

Technology

  • Strong understanding of AI and emerging technology as it applies to online marketing within the agency environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and WordPress or other Content Management Software.
  • Understanding of web publishing requirements.
  • Experience working with marketing technology platforms.

Skills

  • Ability to predict audience preferences with an editorial mindset.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Expertise in social media platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
