Synaccess Networks Production Lead San Diego, CA · Full time Company website

Synaccess is growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on Production Lead to keep our San Diego build floor organized, on schedule and shipping quality product every day.

About Synaccess Networks

Synaccess Networks is an industry leader in intelligent power management, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of Smart Power Distribution Units (PDUs) for more than 20 years. Our solutions enable remote power control, monitoring, and management across data centers, enterprise IT, telecom, retail, edge, and colocation environments — with thousands of deployments worldwide. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, we’re known for purpose-built reliability, competitive pricing, and faster lead times than traditional enterprise vendors.

Our mission: “Powering reliability for connected businesses everywhere.”

Description

You’ll lead a team of 2–4 Production & QA Technicians while working on the line yourself: assembly, safety testing, programming, QC, packaging and shipping. You’ll set the day’s priorities from the production queue, see shortages and delays coming, and make sure every unit that leaves the building has been built, tested and packed correctly. If you can lead from the bench, stay calm under same-day shipping pressure and have a sharp eye for detail, we want to talk to you.

What you’ll do

Team leadership

  • Lead the team: assign work to 2–4 technicians and keep track of each person’s tasks and progress.
  • Train and support: coach Production & QA Technicians and step in when technical, production or workflow problems come up.

Daily production & priorities

  • Set the day’s priorities: review production orders, decide which orders go first based on urgency and ship date, and make sure work is done accurately and on time.
  • Keep it moving: watch active orders and shift workloads or priorities as needed to keep production running smoothly.

Planning ahead

  • Look ahead: review upcoming demand, inventory and component availability to spot shortages and delays early.
  • Speak up early: report delays, inventory shortages, quality concerns or anything else that could affect an order, before it becomes a missed shipment.

Quality & safety

  • Protect quality: make sure production and QA procedures are followed, and that required testing, documentation and packaging are finished before anything ships.
  • Never skip safety: make sure every unit passes its required safety tests, with no shortcuts, even on rush orders.

Continuous improvement

  • Make it better: help improve our production processes, organization, documentation and overall efficiency.

How success is measured

  • On-time shipment of production orders
  • Accuracy: right SKU, right accessories, right address, every time
  • Units passing QC and safety testing on the first try
  • Shortages and delays flagged before they affect ship dates
  • A clean, organized work area and up-to-date documentation

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience in production, manufacturing, electronics assembly, QA or a similar technical environment
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a small team while staying active in the production work
  • Basic electronics assembly and disassembly, soldering, wire stripping, crimping and heat-shrink experience
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems: failed tests, error messages, defective units
  • Strong organization, time management, problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple orders and plan for upcoming production and inventory needs
  • Clear written and verbal communication with your team and with other departments
  • Comfort with computers: entering data, navigating files and reading error messages
  • Reliable, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment

Nice to have

  • Previous experience as a Production Lead, Senior Production Technician, QA Lead or similar role
  • Experience with production scheduling, order tracking or inventory planning
  • Experience with electronic products or integrated hardware and software systems
  • Experience creating or improving production procedures and documentation
  • Interest in embedded systems, test automation or manufacturing process improvement

Physical requirements

  • Stand and work at a bench for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; heavier items handled with equipment or a team lift.
  • Use hand tools and handle small electronic components with precision

We provide reasonable accommodations so qualified individuals with disabilities can perform the essential functions of this role.

Compensation & benefits

  • Pay: $27–$35 per hour, based on experience and skills. This is an hourly, non-exempt role, eligible for overtime under California law.
  • Comprehensive health and dental insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation time, plus paid sick leave
  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with a 1-hour unpaid lunch (35 hours/week)
  • The chance to shape how production runs at a growing, innovation-driven company

The pay range above is the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position in San Diego. Where you land in it depends on your experience, skills and qualifications.
