Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute daily outdoor macroalgae cultivation activities in accordance with approved SOPs, GMP standards, and biosecurity protocols, including inoculation, media dosing, harvesting, and system cleaning.
- Monitor, document, and report key operational and biological metrics, including biomass yield, growth rates, contamination indicators, nutrient uptake, temperature, light exposure, and CO₂ levels, with a high standard of accuracy and timeliness.
- Complete scheduled sampling, testing, and data entry (e.g., biomass estimates, microscopy, PAM readings, visual inspections), ensuring records are audit-ready and compliant with GMP and internal quality systems.
- Own assigned weekly and monthly performance targets, including yield consistency, contamination reduction, system uptime, and protocol adherence, and escalate deviations promptly.
- Participate in project-based workstreams focused on process improvement, cost reduction, throughput increases, or quality enhancement, with clearly defined deliverables and timelines.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, proposing solutions, and assisting with the testing and implementation of approved process changes.
- Follow and reinforce GMP, HACCP-aligned, and safety practices in all outdoor operations, including proper material handling, sanitation, documentation, and corrective action procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, indoor cultivation, data, engineering, and QA teams to support trials, technology transfers, and scale-up initiatives.
- Maintain outdoor systems, tools, and workspaces in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition, including facility upkeep and minor improvement projects.
- Protect Symbrosia’s intellectual property, biological assets, and confidential information at all times.
- Demonstrate strong ownership, reliability, and accountability, contributing to a culture of execution, transparency, and continuous learning.
- Serve as a positive representative of Symbrosia’s values, safety culture, and commitment to operational excellence.
