What You’ll Do

As Switchyards’ first Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role on our path to $100M ARR and beyond. Working alongside the CEO, you’ll serve as a strategic partner and a hands-on operator, shaping the financial future of our business. 


  • Build a lean, high-performing finance function.
  • Drive (and be proactive) on FP&A.
  • Take ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain the financial model. Develop a deep understanding of key business metrics.
  • Proactively identify opportunities, risks, and strategies to optimize financial outcomes and support growth.
  • Own key financial metrics and drive improvement through collaboration with Switchyards leaders, extending beyond the finance function. 
  • Be the brain on capital strategy and needs moving forward.
  • Craft a crisp financial narrative.
  • Support the CEO on fundraising, including planning and execution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current and future long-term investors.


What You’ll Bring


Experience:

  • Extensive finance leadership experience, ideally within a high-growth, recurring revenue business.
  • Bonus: Experience with brick-and-mortar, recurring revenue, and/or consumer subscription-based businesses is a strong plus. 
  • Are a well-rounded finance expert with deep expertise in FP&A, plus experience in accounting, budgeting, and investor relations.
  • Have written the "financial story" of growth-stage companies by identifying and tracking the right financial and operating metrics to attract long-term investment.
  • Exceptional communicator. Adept at simplifying complex financial scenarios to enable strategic decision-making among investors, board members, and internal teams.
  • Managed or played a key role in equity and/or debt fundraising and navigating capital markets.
