Switchboard Health Vice President, Engineering Remote · Full time

We are excited to bring on a Vice President, Engineering to continue our early product and development progress while building out a high-performing team to deliver world-class technology to a growing set of clients. What you’ll do

•            Build, lead, manage, sustain, and scale a highly skilled and motivated technology team with strong focus on platform engineering including infrastructure, application, API, and UX

•            Help drive the technical roadmap, architecture, and new feature vision of the product

•            Recruit talented engineers onto your team who are eager to learn and passionate about the technical problems they get to solve at Switchboard Health.

•            Oversee compliance processes and procedures to ensure that solutions are developed in a secure manner, and have appropriate functionality to protect personally identifiable information and sensitive data

•            Develop strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders

•            As a small team, opportunities to contribute to the codebase will frequently be available

•            The position will report directly to the CEO

What you’ll need to succeed

•            10+ years of experience in Agile Software Engineering with leadership and management experience in operating SaaS software platforms

•            Experience working in digital health including the handling of protected health information (PHI) and building integration with other digital health solutions.

•            Prior experience leading a team and architecting products within a multi-tenant Cloud/SaaS environment running in a major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP)

•            Demonstrated track record of hiring top engineering talent

•            Demonstrated capability to manage remote development resources

•            Development experience with Node, TypeScript, Javascript, SQL

•            Development experience with HL7 FHIR preferred

•            Outstanding written communication skills, with the capacity to communicate with a variety of audiences, from board members and industry leaders to managers, staff, customers, and partners
