Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs an expanding and flexible program of aquatics for all groups and ages; and assists in coordinating regularly scheduled events
  • Recommends the purchase of proper supplies and equipment for program operation; maintains inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Inspects equipment and facilities for security and safety
  • Interviews, selects, and schedules employees for planned events and activities
  • Provides training, guidance, and direction to employees and plans and implements recognition
  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems
  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of special reports, such as, activity analyses, brochures, etc
  • Supervises the daily activities of the facilities
  • Required to operate pool equipment; tests chemicals for water quality; assure all water safety methods are strictly adhered to
  • Deals with customer and citizen complaints concerning the employees or facility
  • May be required to complete incident/accident reports
  • Completes and maintains staff schedules

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of employee management experience
  • CPR/First Aid Certified, preferred
  • Must have 8-10 years experience in an aquatics related field
  • Passionate about swimming
  • Customer service oriented
  • Must be organized, professional and a team player
  • This position requires evening and weekend work as well as regional travel to pool locations 

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annual pay
