Description

The Role

As a Supported Living Coach, you play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. You will help them develop skills for independent living while ensuring they feel supported and valued in their community.


What You'll Do

- Provide direct support to individuals in their homes and community settings.

- Assist clients in developing and achieving personal goals related to daily living skills.

- Facilitate social and recreational activities that promote community involvement.

- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to implement individualized support plans.

- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting support strategies as needed.

- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community.

- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.


What We're Looking For

- Experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.

- Patience and empathy when working with individuals with diverse needs.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs.


Nice to Have

- Certification in CPR and First Aid.

- Knowledge of community resources and support services.

- Experience with behavior management techniques.

- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
