Role: Full Stack Software Engineer (Hybrid – Tampa, FL)
This is a full-time, hybrid role with 2 days per week in-office at our Westshore Tampa location. The first 90 days are fully on-site for faster onboarding & integration to the team.
You’ll work across the stack — from our web and mobile front-ends to backend services — to ship features that directly impact thousands of stores.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain full-stack features in our POS and back-office applications
- Work across modern TypeScript, including both frontend and backend services
- Develop and consume APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
- Work with relational databases and caching systems
- Contribute to system design for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define and deliver new functionality
- Participate in code reviews and help improve engineering standards and patterns
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React)
- Experience building backend services (e.g., Node.js or similar)
- Comfortable working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Familiarity with APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
- Experience with containers (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and ownership mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or POS/retail systems
- Experience with in-store hardware integrations (printers, scanners, scales, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with event-driven systems, queues, or streaming
- Contributions to open source or a strong GitHub/portfolio
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100,000–$150,000 (Tampa – Hybrid, 2x/week on-site)
