Business Development Representative — Entry-Level Sales
Business Development Representative — Entry-Level Sales
SuperSonic POS | Tampa, FL | Full-Time | In-Office
Base Salary or Hourly + uncapped commission | $80,000 at Target
Maybe you’re the bartender who can work a packed room, remember the regulars, and turn a first-time customer into someone who comes back for you.
Maybe you’re a former college athlete who misses competing, knows how to take coaching, and understands that game-day performance comes from the work nobody sees.
Maybe you’ve worked in hospitality, retail, personal training, or built something of your own—and you’re ready to put that drive into a career with more room to grow.
We’re looking for people like you.
This opening is built for someone making their first move into business-to-business sales—not an experienced BDR looking for another BDR job.
We can teach you our product, our tools, and how to sell. You bring the work ethic, curiosity, confidence to start conversations, and willingness to get better.
SuperSonic POS helps independent business owners sell more, lose less, and run it all from one POS. We bring together point-of-sale software, payments, inventory, loyalty, and other tools that help convenience stores, grocery stores, and independent retailers run their businesses.
You’ll be talking to real business owners about real problems: slow checkout lines, missing inventory, disconnected systems, and technology that makes their day harder instead of easier.
Your job is to open the conversation and help the right owners see why it’s worth taking a closer look.
This is a phone-first, outbound sales role. You won’t spend your day waiting for interested customers to contact you.
You’ll:
You’ll be measured on consistent activity, the quality of your conversations, qualified meetings that actually happen, and the sales opportunities you help create.
You’re good with people—and you know how to listen. You can connect with someone you just met, ask a thoughtful question, and adjust when a conversation doesn’t go as planned.
You’re competitive without making everything about yourself. You care about your results, want to improve, and help the people around you improve too.
You can take coaching. Hearing “try that differently” makes you want another rep, not an excuse. You’re willing to listen to your own calls and work on what needs fixing.
You follow through. You show up prepared, do what you said you would do, and handle the repetitive work even when the excitement wears off.
Hospitality, bartending, serving, competitive athletics—including D1 sports—retail, and entrepreneurial experience are all backgrounds we’re interested in. They are examples, not requirements.
No college degree, prior BDR experience, or software-industry background is required.
Show us where you’ve worked hard, improved, and earned results.
You will hear “no.” People will be busy. Some will hang up. Some meetings will fall through.
Being outgoing helps, but this job takes more than personality. It takes preparation, repetition, organization, and the ability to approach the next call with the same professionalism as the first.
You don’t need to be fearless on day one. You do need to be willing to pick up the phone, practice, and keep improving.
This is not a passive appointment-setting job or a role where you wait to be handed opportunities. It is a chance to learn how to create them.
A base salary plus uncapped performance-based commission. Training on the product, sales process, and tools. Regular coaching, call reviews, and practice with the team.
You’ll work alongside our sales team in Tampa, with clear expectations and direct feedback.
As you demonstrate consistent results and readiness, you’ll have the opportunity to progress toward an Account Executive role, where you run demonstrations and close your own deals. Advancement is earned through performance and capability—not simply time in the seat.
Send us your résumé—even if nothing on it says “sales”—and a short note answering:
What’s something you worked hard to become good at, and how did you get there?
Why do you want to build a sales career now?
Skip the generic cover letter. Tell us what you’ve done, what you’re proud of, and what you’re ready to work toward.
Bring the drive. Learn the craft. Earn your next step.
