Providing quality care and assisting with activities of daily
Duties:
- Provide care and support to individuals with various needs, including those with disabilities, or medical conditions.
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming,toileting.
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions.
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status of individuals.
- Implement behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Create and maintain a safe and supportive environment for individuals.
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding.
- accompanying clients to appointments or outings as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of individuals.
Skills:
- Experience in caregiving or related fields such as childcare, social work, or nursing.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects or individuals (as required by the job).
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and other team members.
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with special needs.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle stressful situations calmly.
