Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with children diagnosed with Autism and other Learning Differences, particularly focusing on pediatrics and early intervention strategies to enhance their communication skills and overall quality of life.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities in patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families regarding speech-language development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
- Strong background in anatomy and physiology as it pertains to speech and language functions.
- Experience in providing speech therapy services within a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies for pediatric patients.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments to identify specific needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on fostering a supportive environment for improvement.
