Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) is responsible for the direct implementation of evidence-based behavior intervention plans under the close supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role involves working one-on-one with clients in a structured clinic setting, utilizing play-based learning and skill-building activities to enhance client independence, skill acquisition, and overall success.


Key Responsibilities

Direct Client Care

  • Provide consistent 1:1 ABA therapy to school-aged and early intervention clients in a structured clinic environment.
  • Execute individualized treatment protocols and skill acquisition programs designed by the BCBA.
  • Implement play-based learning and structured interventions to target social, communication, and adaptive skills.

Data and Documentation

  • Collect and record accurate, objective data on client progress, target behaviors, and skill mastery per protocol.
  • Maintain session notes and documentation in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Professionalism

  • Respond intentionally and ethically to challenging behaviors using the client's Plan of Care (POC), integrating SafetyCare training with ABA principles.
  • Actively collaborate with the BCBA, client caregivers, and the multidisciplinary therapy team to ensure consistent program implementation and progress toward goals.
  • Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards as set forth by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) guidelines.
  • Assist clients with essential daily living skills as needed, including toileting and self-feeding.

Qualifications and Requirements

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with school-aged children aged 2 to pre-teens.
  • Ability to follow structured treatment plans and data collection protocols accurately.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the clinic location.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

Preferred

  • Active Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) credential from the BACB.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Nursing, or a related field.
