Speech/Language Pathology Assistant
Job Overview:
At Summit Center for Child Development, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech/Language Pathology Assistant to join our team. As a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant, you will work closely with our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide therapeutic services to individuals with communication disorders. Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for clients
- Implement therapy activities and exercises as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Document client progress and communicate effectively with team members and families
- Provide support and encouragement to clients during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy space
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Certification as a Speech/Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Knowledge of therapy techniques and practices
