Summit Center is seeking a Pediatric Speech/Language Pathologist to join our growing early intervention team. Our preferred candidate is experienced, with training in parent coaching and play-based therapy. Our Speech/Language Pathologist will have a strong passion for helping children with special needs, and their families reach their full potential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations using formal and informal assessment tools
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate goals
- Maintain timely treatment records and progress reports
- Consistently assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide parent training and support as an integral part of the therapy program
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary and collaborative team
Qualifications
Demonstrable experience and other qualifications:
- Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent from an accredited college or university
- Dedicated to quality, with a willingness to learn and share
- Experience working with children with developmental delays or disabilities preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Must have or obtain an SLP license in the State of Washington
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications and a valid Driver's License and/or reliable personal transportation
