We're looking for a strong storyteller who knows how to turn simple ideas into short-form videos people want to watch until the end. You'll write TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts scripts built around compelling hooks, curiosity, tension, natural dialogue, and satisfying payoffs. You'll work with our team to develop founder-led content, deliver 4–5 scripts per week, and improve stories based on audience retention data and feedback. We need someone with strong storytelling fundamentals who can write engaging narratives, keep viewers interested, and make every line count. We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with the right person.

If you know how to tell a story people want to finish, keep reading. If you can write a great opening but can't keep the story interesting after that, this job isn't for you.

The Job
We need a scriptwriter who understands what makes a story work: grabbing attention, building curiosity, creating tension, and delivering a payoff that makes the viewer glad they stayed.
You'll write short-form scripts for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts, with a focus on the story itself. That means the hook, the narrative, the dialogue, the sequence of information, and the reason someone keeps watching.
You will provide simple visual direction to support your scripts, such as suggested shots, B-roll, on-screen text, or visual references. You don't need to plan every camera angle, transition, or edit. Our team will handle the detailed visual execution.
But you do need to understand that short-form storytelling works differently. You might have 30 seconds to make a point that a traditional screenplay would spend several minutes building toward. Every line needs to earn its place, and the story needs to keep moving.
We can teach you our approach to short-form. What we can't teach from scratch is how to tell a good story.
You know how to open with a question, a surprising claim, an unexpected situation, a conflict, or a piece of information that makes someone want to know what happens next. Your openings create a reason to keep watching, not just a reason to stop scrolling.
You know how to keep viewers hooked by creating curiosity gaps and opening loops throughout a script. Whether it's a question, a tease, or an unexpected reveal, you know how to introduce tension, deliver a satisfying payoff, and open the next loop before viewers lose interest. You understand how to reveal information in the right order, build anticipation, and keep people watching until the very end without giving everything away too early.
You know how to take an idea, experience, problem, or product insight and turn it into a coherent story. You understand setup, escalation, turning points, reveals, and payoffs. You can make even a simple idea feel worth watching.
You're willing to adapt your writing to the format. Short-form doesn't give you much time to establish context or explain every detail. You know how to get to the point, make information easy to follow, and cut anything that doesn't help the story.
You might come from screenwriting, comedy writing, documentary storytelling, branded content, or another writing background. What matters is that you can learn how to apply your storytelling skills to short-form video.
Our founder is on camera. Casual, funny, direct. You write lines that sound natural when spoken aloud, not dialogue that feels like an ad, a corporate presentation, or a screenplay being read word for word.
Our team will handle the detailed shot-by-shot visual direction. Your job is to give them a story worth bringing to life.
You don't need years of TikTok experience if your storytelling fundamentals are strong. But you do need to show us that you can make people want to know what happens next.
Tell us your rate per script in your proposal. Pay is based on experience and the quality of your work, so back your rate with examples that justify it.
Here's how we hire:
Every trial is paid.
We read every proposal. Generic proposals get skipped. AI-written proposals get skipped too. If you can't write a few honest sentences about yourself in your own voice, you can't write in our founder's.
