Description

Succeed.Net is seeking an experienced, full-time Wireless Installer Technician to help expand, maintain, and support our rapidly growing wireless and fiber broadband network throughout Northern California. This is a hands-on field position primarily focused on residential and business internet installations, with opportunities to assist with larger network projects.

We are looking for candidates with prior experience in the WISP, satellite (e.g., HughesNet, Viasat, DirecTV), cable, or telecommunications industries. You must be comfortable working independently in outdoor environments, navigating steep rooftops, and working on ladders.

This is not an entry-level desk job, and prior field installation experience is required. We are looking for dependable, technically capable field professionals who can safely complete quality work with minimal supervision. Daily Responsibilities

  • Perform broadband wireless installations, repairs, upgrades, and equipment recoveries at customer sites
  • Install, align, troubleshoot, and maintain customer premise equipment (CPE) and antennas
  • Run, terminate, and test Power over Ethernet (PoE) cabling
  • Configure basic customer networking and internet equipment (routers, Wi-Fi)
  • Safely navigate rooftops and climb ladders (up to 50 feet) to establish clear Line-of-Sight (LoS) connections to communication structures
  • Safely install and weatherproof outdoor networking enclosures and cable
  • Perform site surveys and identify installation challenges or signal issues
  • Communicate professionally with residential and business customers
  • Document installations and repairs with photos, notes, and ticket updates
  • Use small power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
  • Drive company vehicles to customer locations within approximately a 100-mile radius
  • Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory and equipment records

Requirements

  • Experience Preferred: 1+ years of prior experience in WISP, satellite, cable, telecommunications, or wireless networking installations
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights, including extension ladders and steep rooftops
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and professional customer interaction skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Solid understanding of basic networking concepts
  • Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and installation standards
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Valid California driver’s license with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to pass background checks and random drug testing

Preferred Experience & Bonus Skills

  • Tower Experience: Experience or willingness to assist with relay site, rooftop, and small tower deployments (10–50 ft) is a major plus
  • Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Cambium, Mimosa, Tarana, or similar wireless equipment experience
  • Advanced router and Wi-Fi troubleshooting

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 60 pounds

  • Ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay is $24.00/hour depending on experience.

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Occasional on-call or limited overtime as needed
