  • We support each other.
  • We do the right thing.

Job Summary

As Publisher, you'll join at one of the most exciting moments in our company's history, helping shape not just Nashville's future, but the future of StyleBlueprint itself.

The Publisher is the business leader of our flagship market and is responsible for the overall success of StyleBlueprint Nashville, overseeing business development, client relationships, community engagement, local partnerships, and overall market performance. This role requires someone who can think like an operator and make strategic decisions that strengthen both the Nashville market and the broader StyleBlueprint brand.

The Publisher partners closely with executive leadership to execute company strategy while bringing local expertise and leadership to Nashville.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience leading business development, partnerships, sales, media, marketing, operations, or general management, with demonstrated success driving measurable business growth.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with business owners, executives, community leaders, and strategic partners.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing revenue goals, forecasting, and sales pipelines.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing people, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and sales coaching skills.
  • An appreciation for editorial storytelling, local media, and community engagement.
  • Ability to attend community events, meet with local partners throughout the Nashville area, and virtually participate in daily huddles and recurring meetings.

Job Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute Nashville's local revenue strategy.
  • Build a consistent pipeline of prospective advertising partners and sponsors.
  • Lead new business development across sponsored content, digital advertising,  email, social media, and emerging revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with HQ leadership on pricing strategy, product offerings, and market opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and revenue reporting.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop long-term relationships with existing advertising partners.
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and increase client retention.
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience from initial sale through campaign execution.
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for Nashville's largest business partners.

Community Leadership & Growth

  • Partner with HQ editorial leadership to ensure Nashville content reflects the StyleBlueprint brand while staying deeply connected to the local community.
  • Ensure Nashville's editorial presence is strong and well supported, and spot the content opportunities that can grow StyleBlueprint's revenue and stature. You care about the content, even though someone else is executing it.
  • Build the Nashville team. You’ll onboard with strong HQ support as you take over the existing book of business, then lead the hiring of a Nashville Account Executive and, later, an editor. No editorial hiring experience needed. HQ will partner with you on every search, but these will be your hires and your team, and you'll shape the culture and performance of the Nashville market.
  • Shape our events strategy. Events are something we've dabbled in and want to explore more deeply in Nashville. You'll help us decide what signature StyleBlueprint Nashville experiences should look like, then bring them to life.
  • Represent StyleBlueprint throughout the community.
  • Collaborate with HQ to improve systems, processes, and best practices that can be replicated across future markets.

What Success Looks Like

The Publisher owns the overall health and growth of StyleBlueprint Nashville. Success means building sustainable revenue, cultivating exceptional business relationships, strengthening our presence in the Nashville community, and creating repeatable operational systems that can serve as the model for future markets.

Success will be measured by:

  • Consistently achieving revenue and profitability goals.
  • Growing new business while expanding existing partnerships.
  • Building long-term client relationships with high retention.
  • Increasing StyleBlueprint Nashville's visibility and influence within the community.
  • Demonstrating leadership that reflects StyleBlueprint's culture and core values while building a high-performing Nashville team that can scale with the market.

What We Offer

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary, bonus opportunities, monthly profit sharing, and 401(k) with company match.
  • 4 ½-Day Work Week: The office closes at 12:30 PM every Friday so our team can enjoy an early start to the weekend.

  • Company Holidays: Approximately 15 paid company holidays each year.
  • Tech Benefits: A $50/month cell phone stipend, plus a company-provided laptop that becomes your personal property after 2 years of employment
  • Quarterly Off-Sites: Quarterly planning sessions and team gatherings that bring our virtual team together, typically in Nashville or within a 3-hour drive

At StyleBlueprint, we believe AI is a powerful partner in our work. We lean into intelligent tools to streamline workflows, including limited AI assistance for a fair and efficient resume review process, but these tools never make hiring decisions. Candidates are evaluated by a real person, and final decisions are always made by our hiring team. We look for curious, forward-thinking people who are ready to explore how AI can elevate their work.
