About the Role
We’re hiring VR teleoperators to control and support robotic systems in real-world environments. This is a hands-on, physically active role involving full-body movement in a virtual reality setup to perform tasks such as navigation, object handling, and system interaction.
What You’ll Do
- Operate robotic systems using VR interfaces (headset + controllers etc)
- Perform real-time teleoperation tasks including movement, manipulation, and positioning
- Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
- Monitor system performance and flag issues or edge cases
- Support data collection and annotation during operations
- Collaborate with team leads to improve workflows and system performance
Role Requirements (Essential Functions)
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical movements including:
- standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move objects (e.g., up to 25 lbs / 11 kg)
- Ability to work in a VR environment for extended periods (with breaks)
- Comfortable performing full range of motion activities (upper and lower body)
- Ability to maintain situational awareness and attention to detail during active tasks
- Ability to follow structured instructions and respond to real-time feedback
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Nice to Have
- Experience with VR systems (e.g., Meta Quest or similar)
- Gaming or simulation experience (console, PC, or VR)
- Participation in sports, fitness, dance, or other movement-based activities that build coordination and spatial awareness
- Experience in hands-on roles (e.g., campus jobs, warehouse, events, labs, or field work)
- Interest in robotics, autonomous systems, or emerging technology
Work Environment
- Active, movement-based role (not a desk-only position)
- Mix of standing and movement throughout the shift
- VR headset use required during operations
- Scheduled breaks to support comfort and safety
Compensation
- Hourly: $25–$30/hr
- Overtime and shift premiums where applicable
- AM/PM/Weekend Shifts
