The Strangeworks Customer Team are the experts in what customers can do with the Strangeworks platform and guide the customer through a project from use case selection, project definition, support, and delivery. Working on the Customer Team presents opportunities to interact with decision makers and to work with a variety of subject matter experts in diverse fields.

Your role on the customer team is to sit between the customer and the product development team at Strangeworks. You are not expected to perform original research nor product development. You’ll be using existing tools produced by the development team and our Strangeworks partners to create unique ways of showcasing the products, propose new Strangeworks products and deliver on customer projects from proof of concepts through to productized solutions and address additional customer needs as they appear.

Here’s some things you’ll work on:

Internal PoCs

  • Strangeworks has a unique platform that enables our customers to do things other platforms simply can’t - for example, take advantage of pricing discrimination. If you had access to all quantum hardware and software, what would you put together to build something greater than the sum of its parts?

External PoCs

  • Our customers’ experience with quantum computing varies greatly. You’ll work with them to guide them through the implementation of their projects on the Strangeworks platform. Are you the first to volunteer your time when someone needs help? 

Partner PoCs

  • Our partners are constantly releasing new and cool tools. Can you figure out where they fit into our platform and how they could provide value to a customer? 

Use Case Ideation

  • Sometimes our customers just don’t know where to start. Are you comfortable applying your knowledge of quantum computing outside your areas of expertise?


  • Masters Degree in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in quantitative or scientific field related to advanced computing such as predictive modeling, data science, quantum computing, quantum physics, and/or high performance computing (HPC)
  • Ability to understand cutting edge scientific models and adapt them for customer use-cases
  • Ability to keep existing business and technical skills honed and developing new ones
  • Experience managing customer relationships and key business stakeholders
  • Proficiency in implementing quantum algorithms
  • Good working knowledge with Python
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative pushing new ideas internally
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with relevant open source software and quantum programming languages
  • Can work in timezones compatible with CST

  • Ph.D in  highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a solution scientist role and a track record of building advanced compute solutions
  • Experience with using quantum technology towards industry applications
