We are seeking an organized, proactive, and people-oriented Studio Operations Producer / Production Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of our production studio and documentary company. This role sits at the center of our team—coordinating productions, communicating with clients, and helping ensure the studio operates smoothly from the first client interaction through final delivery. We are a small, collaborative team, which means every team member wears multiple hats. In addition to producing and managing projects, this role also helps maintain the studio environment, improve internal systems, and ensure every client experience is professional and seamless. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, solving problems, and keeping many moving parts organized at once. Part-time or contract option available.

What You'll Do

Client & Project Management

  • Scope project needs with clients and draft production budgets and estimates
  • Close projects and guide clients through booking and project approval
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Manage production schedules and project timelines
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients and crew
  • Ensure clients feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the production process

Studio Operations

  • Oversee daily studio operations and scheduling
  • Ensure the studio space is prepared for productions
  • Reset and maintain the studio after shoots so it’s ready for the next production
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment
  • Monitor the condition of video equipment and facilities
  • Coordinate small repairs, upgrades, and improvements to the space
  • Help ensure the studio environment continues to improve over time

Studio and Field Production Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate 1-5 person crews, equipment, and logistics for shoots inside and outside the studio
  • Produce onsite shoots to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction
  • Track deliverables and final outputs

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and improve internal production workflows
  • Help develop and update systems for scheduling, project management, and communication
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and studio operations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in video production, media, events, or a creative agency environment
  • Experience coordinating video productions or managing video client projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience creating video production budgets or project estimates
  • Moderate understanding of technical video production equipment for project scoping and budgeting.
  • Experience with project management or production workflows

Physical Requirements 

This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks associated with studio and on-location production work. This may include:

  • Lifting and carrying equipment up to 40 lbs
  • Standing, walking, and moving for extended periods of time
  • Navigating stairs and loading/unloading gear at various locations
  • Bending, reaching, and setting up production equipment

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment both in-studio and on location.

Compensation

  • $25-$40 per hour depending on experience
  • Performance bonuses tied to project success and business growth
