We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to play a critical role in maintaining the high degree of quality of our growing platform. This person will have the primary responsibility of writing frameworks and tools to test products. It is a very unique and challenging role and provides immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the “building” aspect of software design engineering with the “breaking” aspect of software test engineering.
Description
In this role you will:
- Design and implement automated tests for multiple products using C#, WatiN and other tools
- Own coding internal tools such as automation framework and continue to extend and enhance our internal toolset
- Provide the engineering team with proposals around new toolsets, technologies, and practices.
- Become a foundational member of a growing engineering team.
- Take on a hybrid work model – at least 3 days a week in-office for cross-functional team meetings.
- Be an owner and advocate of product quality
- API level testing.
- Perform manual testing, the scope of which will encompass all functionalities of services as a prequel to automation.
- Analyze test logs; create test reports, co-ordinate with stakeholders.
- Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and test suites working across technologies.
Requirements:
3+ years with significant experience in:
- C#
- .NET Core
- .NET Framework
- ASP.NET Web APIs
- SQL Language
- professional SDET experience developing automated product tests in C#, Java, or similar language
- WatiN or Selenium experience a plus
- Expertise in database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication.
2+ years working with:
- Agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building medium or large-scale event-driven solutions.
- Scaling complex data-driven software platforms
- Working with source control management systems and understanding of best practices
- CI/CD deployment process and pipelines
- Performance tuning SQL queries
Preferences:
- Understanding and implementing Docker
- Strong skillset within cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Experience with GraphQL, Restful Services, and/or gRPC
- Experience with NoSQL databases
- Experience in the grocery, CPG or other food industry
- Passion for software quality
