We are looking for a dedicated and purpose-driven Customer Success Manager to build loyalty and excitement with our customers. The successful candidate excels at building deep and meaningful connections with all types of personalities and holds an intellectual curiosity about technology and the grocery industry. You will deliver timely, concise communication to our customers about new products and features that complement their current investments. This role is critical to Storewise’s retention efforts.


Founded in 2017, Storewise, a B2B retail SaaS provider, serves the important, trillion-dollar retail food industry. It’s a fight between your local neighborhood grocer (aka Independent retailers) and big box stores; a modern-day David vs Goliath.   


The Independent retailer (“Independent”) is a family business spanning generations, collectively generating $255B+ in revenues per year. They’re staples in their communities and excel in delivering fresh, quality food and outstanding customer service at competitive prices.   


Over the past few decades, technology-led retailers like Walmart, Amazon, and Dollar Stores have taken market share from Independents. However, Independents are resilient and are fighting back leveraging years of industry domain know-how and embracing technology.   


This is where Storewise comes in. 


There has not been a unified retail automation platform that covers the operation of a store like Storewise. Our 100% cloud-based platform delivers value by simplifying the way an Independent sets pricing across every item in their store, manages the myriad of vendors, identifies risk, improves training, and more. In many cases, the Storewise platform funds itself.

Role Responsibilities:

This role is all about strategic account planning and execution to ensure customer satisfaction, reduce customer churn, and maximize revenue per customer. Responsibilities include:


1.      Customer Success

  • Develop and manage relationships with customer owners (including financial decision maker, champion and platform users) to ensure they understand the strategic value of Storewise and alignment with their goals and objectives.
  • Become a product expert and proactively engage with customers to maximize product adoption.
  • Own customer communication and document key moments within the customer journey using a CRM.

2.    Customer Retention

  • Partner with Sales, Implementation, and Technical Services to manage and ensure customers are moving through the customer journey efficiently.
  • Identify churn indicators during the customer journey and execute plays accordingly.
  • Plan and execute account management best practices to maintain connections with the most senior level client contacts to ensure ROI is aligned and known at all levels.


About You

  • Previous customer success, sales, or account management experience
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies opportunities and thinks critically to generate and execute solutions.
  • Exceptional time-management and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • A data-driven, customer-centric approach where you’re not afraid to admit “I don’t know, but I can’t wait to find out!”
  • A good sense of humor
