As a Tax Accountant, you will support the tax needs of business owners and individual clients, providing tax support and exceptional service. This role is ideal for a candidate with 1+ years of public accounting experience or related field experience and who appreciates working in a collaborative environment to support client service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
• Assist with tax projections and planning strategies to help clients understand the impact of tax decisions and identify opportunities for savings
• Collaborate closely with our team of accountants and preparers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Communicate with senior advisors and the accounting team to ensure accurate financial information, meet filing deadlines, and deliver high-quality client service
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules, including journal entries and adjusting entries as needed to maintain accurate financial records
• Support small business clients with accounting and financial insights, helping identify efficiencies and providing responsive, professional service
• Stay current on tax regulations and industry developments to ensure compliance and contribute to best practices

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1+ years of public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred
• Progress toward CPA or EA certification, or interest in pursuing professional licensure
• Familiarity with preparing individual and business tax returns
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
• Proficiency in tax and accounting software and has strong Excel skills
• A collaborative mindset and desire to grow professionally in a client-focused advisory environment
• Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement

This role will report to our Tax Operations Director

Pay:

• $60,000 – $75,000 per year
• Opportunity for bonuses
