The SPIN Forward Program Coordinator (PC) provides logistical support to all cohort leads with support and guidance from the PM III.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Site Coordination (90%): Ensure smooth coordination for field days, lab days and events
across cohorts
● Coordinate and implement logistics including food, equipment, supplies, space, and
other matters for SPIN Forward events across cohorts
● Support cohort leads by gathering supplies, making purchases, and prepping prior to
events
● Manage inventory list, assist with packing, transport, and unpacking of materials
● Attend additional SPIN/SPIN Forward meetings as needed
Youth and Family Engagement (10%): Ensure families feel connected and committed to SPIN
● Support and sustain 10th grade cohort connections and relationships
● Distribute logistical information about upcoming events to cohort leads via Slack or email
to share with their specific cohort students and families, follow up when needed
● Create RSVP on Google Forms for upcoming events
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Experience working directly with youth in a program, educational, or community setting
and supporting or coordinating events and activities
● Demonstrates sound judgment and knows when to seek guidance
● Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
● Comfortable with technology and openness to learning.
● Outstanding problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
● Commitment to providing girls and BIPOC students with equitable education
opportunities.
● High level of flexibility and adaptability to meet changing work goals and demands.
● Ability to travel to program sites across King County.
● High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
● Knowledge of and experience with college and career readiness, particularly in STEM
fields
● Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
● Experience working with low-income students, including but not limited to Title 1 schools,
and a familiarity with the unique gifts and needs of this population.
● Multilingual, specifically in Spanish or Somali.
