We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Professional with a strong background in sourcing and managing supplier relationships for reagents and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of negotiating contracts, optimizing procurement processes, and building strategic partnerships with suppliers. This role requires a deep understanding of the scientific landscape, market trends, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally within the organization. 

Responsibilities: 

• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic relationships with reagent and instrument suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary. 
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate for pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings and value enhancement while maintaining quality standards. Draft and manage contracts to ensure compliance with organizational policies. 
• Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and product innovations. Analyze data to inform sourcing strategies. 
• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance. Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with project requirements. 
• Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and forecasting for reagent and instrument procurement. Monitor expenditures and implement cost control measures to stay within budget. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including R&D and Operations to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and instruments. 
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure continuity of supply and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
• Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports and insights on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market trends to senior management. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus. 
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement. Ideally with a focus on reagents and instruments in the [biotechnology/pharmaceutical/healthcare] industry. 
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and relationship building. 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. 
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the procurement of scientific materials. 
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
