Steep & Spice LLC is a luxury tea company specializing in loose leaf tea blends and hand-crafted bubble teas. Our mission is to help our communities discover the benefits drinking tea while promoting environmentally sustainable practices. We sell our eco-friendly teas online and at a variety of pop-up style events. We are currently seeking Tea Baristas to join our pop-up event team. This position involves traveling to different events, primarily farmers markets, to serve customers and make our hand-crafted tea drinks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of tea-based drinks according to original recipes
• Transport product and display
• Set up event booth and display
• Manage monetary transactions and expense tracking
• Keep inventory of supplies and retail items
• Provide customers with information about products
• Maintain a food safe environment
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma
• Previous barista or bartending experience is preferred
• Must have possession of or be capable of obtaining an IDPH-compliant Certified Food Protection Manager license
• Must have access to reliable transportation with a minimum cargo volume of 70 cubic feet

Start Date

This position will start in mid-April 2023.

Location and Hours

Locations will vary. The majority of events are Farmers Markets in Kankakee, IL, Frankfort, IL, and Beecher, IL. Most events are 6-8 hours per day including setup/takedown. The anticipated total number of hours per week for this position is 15 hours.
