STEAM Inventors is a pre-school and afterschool STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Educational Service for students from Pre-K to K-12 trying to bridge the gap between current classroom and technology progression. We offer two distinct programs in STEAM Educational space. One is a through a franchise ownership of Nutty Scientists that teaches the children science through drama-based shows and experience the joy of experiments in a safe laboratory. We also operate in a physical facility offering an immersive learning environment for the students to play, learn, connect, and innovate with emerging technologies such as AR/VR, robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity to name a few. Two offerings together will boost the interest of the children and the community. A clear communication will be fundamental skill for 21st century job market at STEAM Inventors our goal is to prepare the children for 21st century learning skills. Nutty Scientists shows can also be performed in events such as birthday parties, corporate events etc. We will arrange Nutty Scientists entertainment events for corporate, private parties, educational awareness programs. Position Description –

If you have experience in theater or acting, experience working with children, love science, and enjoy entertaining and educating kids, you now have a chance to work in an exciting and fulfilling environment! STEAM Inventors is hiring for Nutty Scientists programming for after-school. Hours Tuesday 1:30pm- 5:00pm and Wednesday 1:30-5:00pm through Thursday 1:30pm-5:00pm. (Tuesday and Thursdays flexible time). Some weekends for Birthday parties as needed.

We are looking for people who are bursting with energy, can improvise, and can exaggerate their gestures, expressions, and voice to create a fun experience for our students. We play, make noise, and joke around to make learning fun! 

Lessons and materials are provided for all programming. Scripts are provided for all activities, so energy and presentation are more important than prior knowledge. Students will be in groups of up to 20. Any additional training will be provided and compensated. 

Responsibilities:  

• Prepare for student instruction by confirming access to all required scripts, supplies, etc. 
• Daily set-up and clean-up of assigned instruction space 
• Instruct students with energy and support 
• Always supervise students for safety and accountability 
• Learn students' names 
• Help facilitate student sign-in and check-out 
• Take attendance 

Required Qualifications -

·      Passionate about working with children and teens.

·      Extroverted personality, Showmanship

·      Have a positive attitude and sense of humor

·      Proficiency in elementary level physics, chemistry, biology, environment science

·      Responsible and dedicated to their work 

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

·      Experience with youth

·      Reliable transportation 

Preferred Qualifications: -

·      Teaching or tutoring experience.

·      Camp experience.

·      Acting/Theatre
