Description

The Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our team at our flagship dispensary in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will ensure the accurate tracking, organization, and maintenance of our inventory. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong organizational skills, and have a keen eye for detail. You will play a crucial role in maintaining product availability, supporting order fulfillment, and contributing to a seamless and efficient customer experience.


Key Responsibilities


Inventory Receiving and Documentation:

  • Receive and accurately count all incoming inventory, ensuring that the correct quantities match purchase orders and that products meet quality standards.
  • Document all inventory activities, such as product intake and storage, using the inventory management system (e.g., Metrc, Dutchie) to ensure traceability and availability for customer purchases.
  • Work with the Inventory Lead to quickly address any discrepancies or quality issues, preventing any interruptions in product availability on the sales floor.
  • Inventory Organization and Compliance:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant inventory storage area, ensuring that products are stored according to regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the sales floor team to ensure that high-demand products are easily accessible for order fulfillment, allowing for quick and accurate customer service.
  • Implement effective labeling practices for all inventory items, ensuring that products are clearly identified and can be easily tracked throughout the fulfillment process.


Audits and Accuracy:

  • Assist the Inventory Lead with daily and monthly inventory audits to ensure that stock levels are accurate and align with sales data.
  • Actively contribute to efforts to minimize discrepancies and inventory errors, ensuring that customers are not impacted by stock inaccuracies.
  • Report any issues related to product shortages, overages, or compliance concerns to the Inventory Lead, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption to customer experience.


Support and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Inventory Lead and Floor Lead to align stock levels with customer demand, helping ensure that products featured in promotions or customer favorites are always available.
  • Support the fulfillment team by preparing and organizing products for order fulfillment, reducing wait times and improving customer satisfaction during busy shopping periods.
  • Provide backup support to the sales and budtender teams by helping answer customer questions about product availability, contributing to a positive and informed customer journey.


Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure that all inventory handling processes are compliant with state and local regulations, including Metrc requirements for tracking cannabis products.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols in the vault and storage areas, ensuring that inventory is protected from theft, contamination, and mismanagement.
  • Keep up to date with changes in compliance regulations, contributing to the dispensary's ability to maintain proper licenses and certifications.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, retail, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on maintaining product accuracy for customers.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems such as Metrc and Dutchie is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass all required background checks.

This role is in a brick-and-mortar retail store environment with occasional field visits related to the role. You may encounter typical hazards such as loud noises, moving machinery, and electrical equipment.


Pay: $22/hr.

  • Available to work opening and closing shifts.
  • Holidays and Weekends as needed.
  • Ability to commute.
