Squared Pizza is looking for a friendly and energetic **Pizza Concierge** to join our team! If you love pizza, boba tea, and providing excellent customer service, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
**About Us:**
Squared Pizza is a fast-casual pizza shoppe specializing in carry-out, pick-up, and delivery options. We’re known for our delicious take on Detroit-style pizza. We make our dough daily, only use the freshest ingredients, and even have Boba Tea to quench your thirst. We are passionate about creating a welcoming environment for our guests and providing top-notch food and drinks.
**Job Summary:**
As our Pizza Concierge, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional service to every customer. You will be responsible for taking customer orders, managing the cash register, preparing and boxing food, crafting delicious boba teas, and ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all our guests. Your primary focus will be on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere and building rapport with our valued customers.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Customer Interaction:** Greet customers with a smile and enthusiastic welcome. Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service. Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Build rapport with regular customers and create a welcoming atmosphere.
* **Order Taking:** Accurately take customer orders in person and over the phone, ensuring all details are correct (including any special requests or modifications). Suggestively sell appetizers, sides, drinks, and desserts to enhance the customer experience.
* **Cash Handling & Register Management:** Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately. Process cash and credit card transactions, make change, and balance the register at the end of the shift. Handle online and delivery orders as needed.
* **Food Preparation & Handling:** Cut pizzas into slices and box food orders neatly and efficiently. Ensure food is prepared and handled according to food safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* **Boba Tea Preparation:** Prepare a variety of boba tea drinks according to recipes and customer preferences. Maintain boba tea station cleanliness and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
* **Teamwork & Support:** Assist other team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, restrooms, and work stations. Stock supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
* **Adherence to California Regulations:** Comply with all California health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation guidelines. Follow all company policies and procedures.
**Qualifications:**
* Must be at least 16 years of age.
* Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred, but not required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for customer interaction.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
* Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
* Ability to learn and prepare boba tea drinks (training will be provided).
* Positive attitude, energetic personality, and strong work ethic.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
* Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Food handler's certificate (or ability to obtain one upon hire, as required by California law).
