We're looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Development Representative who is eager to work closely with our founding team and contribute to our growth journey. This is a unique opportunity to join a venture-backed startup and play a key role scaling our company.


We've raised $2.5M in pre-seed from Notation Capital, 8-Bit Capital, CoFound Partners, and V1.VC with deep team expertise in enterprise software and security. 


🧑‍💻 What you'll work on

You'll be the first point of contact for prospects and a key player in driving customer growth. Your role will focus on identifying and generating new business opportunities for the team, including:

  • Research companies that align with our ideal customer profile, and identify potential opportunities by analyzing corporate and team initiatives, technology stack, and other relevant indicators.
  • Reach out to targeted contacts via cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and other channels, with the goal of qualifying interest and booking new business meetings.
  • Track and manage all prospect interactions in Salesforce ensuring information is kept accurate and up-to-date to support the smooth movement of our sales process.
  • Develop and experiment with new strategies to increase market awareness of Spyglass.
  • Assist the sales team by scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring timely follow-ups to help move qualified leads and opportunities through our sales process.

You’ll also gain technical acumen, learning about the inner workings of enterprise software and data engineering. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to break into enterprise software sales, with ambitions to grow into an Account Executive role or transition into other key business functions.


Requirements

  • 4-year college degree.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for learning, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Ability and desire to work in-office in downtown San Francisco.
  • No sales development experience required.

💸 Compensation

We offer competitive compensation of $90,000 on-target earnings ($65,000 base, $25,000 variable) with an uncapped incentive structure + equity.

🕵️ Who You'll Work With


Nick, co-founder and CEO, has spent the last decade building devops and developer tooling companies as the first GTM hire at both Edge Delta (observability) and Harness (CI/CD). He has a passion for working with teams to solve complex and impactful problems at the enterprise scale. In his free time, Nick enjoys road biking, playing with his dog, and tracking his daily macronutrient ratios.


Tyler, co-founder and CTO, is a seasoned engineer passionate about building software infrastructure, security, and developer tools. With experience ranging from startups to big tech companies like Uber, Tyler is excited about creating security solutions for data teams at Spyglass. When he's not working, he enjoys making electronic music, playing chess, cooking, and gaming.

Salary

$65,000 - $90,000 per year
