Description

The Medical Receptionist will serve as one of the first points of contact for our patients and help ensure the front office operates efficiently. This position requires excellent customer service, communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy medical-office environment.


Job Responsibilities


  • Greet patients and assist with the check-in and check-out process
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient questions
  • Make appointment reminder calls
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments
  • Verify and update patient information
  • Send referrals and coordinate necessary documentation
  • Assist patients, providers, and other team members as needed
  • Complete additional administrative and front-office duties
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Help keep the reception and waiting areas organized and professional

Qualifications


  • Previous medical-office or customer-service experience is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor
  • Comfortable learning new scheduling and electronic medical record systems
  • Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team

Compensation

Expected pay range: $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
