Spin Instructor Profile:

The instructors at Spiked Spin & Wellness are dedicated to living a 'Spiked' life. They are highly enthusiastic, passionate, and determined to succeed. Their objective is to assist our members in reaching their full potential and motivate them to accomplish their physical and personal goals. The Spiked instructors are unique and genuine individuals who act as both motivational speakers and DJs on a bike. Their aim is to create a space of togetherness, empowerment, and courage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Pre and Post-Class Responsibilities:

• Arrive 15 minutes early to assist with room setup, warmly greet riders, and address any pre-class inquiries.
• Aid in the check-in process if required/requested.
• Stay an extra 15 minutes post-class to engage with riders, answer questions, and assist specialists as needed. 
• Address any questions or concerns riders may have after the session.

Instructional Expertise:

• Cultivate a positive and comfortable atmosphere for participants.
• Begin and conclude classes promptly as scheduled.
• Deliver a well-rounded experience, including a thorough warm-up, engaging class content, and a motivating 'Spiked Closing.'
• Demonstrate proper form safely and effectively, offering guidance tailored to individual riders and considering safety and risk factors.
• Provide modifications catering to all experience levels.

Promotion and Community Engagement:

• Actively promote upcoming events, workshops, and Spiked Spin & Wellness activities.
• Contribute to maintaining and expanding the rider community.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to assisting others in achieving their health and fitness goals.
• Serve as a Brand Ambassador, ensuring that the brand image is upheld and positively portrayed at all times. 

Professionalism:

• Uphold the Spiked Spin & Wellness brand by wearing appropriate professional attire.
• Foster positive relationships with both Spiked Spin & Wellness members and staff.
• Adhere to professional standards, company policies, and safety guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.
• Address customer issues and complaints professionally, striving for positive resolutions and a superior customer experience.
• Exhibit punctuality, reliability, and trustworthiness.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Lead by example, showcasing a sense of responsibility, accountability, and urgency.
• Work independently, making sound decisions to contribute to the company's overall objectives

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1-3 years of preferred group teaching experience.
• Schwinn Cycle Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Strong communication and verbal skills.
• Enjoy working with a diverse range of people.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior.
• High proficiency in social media.
• Availability to teach a minimum of 1-2 days per week and 1 day on weekends, including mornings and evenings.

Physical Requirements:

• High energy levels and the ability to complete class workouts without fatigue.
• Physical demands include the use of arms and legs, standing, balancing, bending, squatting, running, reaching, walking, and spinning.
• Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing 1-10 lbs.
• Competence in adjusting and operating fitness equipment.
