About the Role

Spectora is looking for a Product Manager to help us continue our journey to becoming the dominant player in the residential home inspection industry and beyond. While Spectora was initially built for residential home inspectors, the level of flexibility and customization the software supports has opened up a wealth of opportunities to expand our reach to other verticals, such as commercial, safety and environmental inspections.

As a Product Manager, you’ll supervise the product strategy, design, and development of new solutions for the inspection space. This could include bolstering our existing platform, developing new products, or charting a course of action to enter new verticals.

You’ll be surrounded by a great group of PMs and engineers, all with an entrepreneurial spirit, high emotional intelligence, and a drive to constantly improve. We believe in work/life balance and pride ourselves on supporting each other in whatever way we can.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take great pride in your work, and are looking to challenge yourself, we’d love to hear from you!

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager
  • You have a proven track record of defining and launching successful new products and features.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • You have high emotional intelligence.
  • You have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • You know how to identify customer needs, pinpoint problems to solve, and translate them to requirements that become user stories in a prioritized product backlog.
  • You aren’t afraid to ask questions in a room with many people to get to the information you need.
  • You know that relationships drive your ability to succeed.
  • You understand the value of listening first, then talking; of giving consistently and receiving occasionally.
  • You’ve seen how strong cross-team teamwork and partnership yields the best outcomes.
  • You’re a customer-centric, data-driven strategist.
  • You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, imperfect environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from start to finish.
  • Deeply understand the customer, industry and competitors by digging into the data, doing research, and actually talking to living, breathing customers.
  • Collaborate directly with the Engineering, Client Success, Product, Marketing, and Executive teams to help transform customer problems into well-defined solutions.
  • Transform solutions into well-thought out product requirements and tickets for the engineering team. We use Linear for issue tracking/sprint planning.
  • Prioritize feature development and bug fixes based on perceived customer value, metrics, and release planning constraints.
  • Create documentation, videos and other materials to help customers understand what you’ve built and how it solves their problems. We use Intercom for our knowledge base.
  • Effectively communicate new features and fixes to customers through in-app messaging, email and video. We use Intercom for our product messaging.
  • Be the gatekeeper for new feature/product launches to ensure a grade-A experience for customers.
  • Measure the impact and success of new releases and use that data to advise what you do next. We use Heap for our product analytics.
  • Craft and conduct experiments and beta tests to learn about what moves the needle on key goals and customer outcomes.
  • Keep the customer at the center of what you do.

We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every bullet point. We are people, not checklists, and we hire as such!

Want to go the extra mile or make your resume stand out? Email [email protected] with your CV and a personalized note or video on why you'd be a great fit. Show us who you really are. We want to get to know YOU!

This is a fully remote position but Denver candidates are preferred.
