The Student Housing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep in a student housing property. This role includes handling routine maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring that the property is safe, clean, and operational for student residents. The technician will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of the building and assist in maintaining a positive living environment for students.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry
  • Respond to maintenance requests from student residents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues
  • Assist with landscaping, snow removal, and other seasonal maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs completed
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and residents


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks and repairs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes
