Job Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead our hardware engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of hardware projects, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality hardware solutions. The Hardware Engineering Manager will work closely with various departments to align engineering efforts with business goals and drive innovation. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of hardware engineers to deliver high-quality hardware solutions. 
  • Oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle, including planning, design, prototyping, testing, and production. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  • Ensure the timely delivery of projects within budget and scope. 
  • Implement best practices in hardware development, including design reviews, testing, and quality assurance. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team. 
  • Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and team performance. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to hardware development projects. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in hardware engineering technologies and methodologies. 
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner. 
  • Execute additional tasks and projects as required by your manager, ensuring they are completed professionally and within deadlines. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as a Hardware Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role. 
  • Strong technical background with experience in hardware design and development. 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in hardware development tools and methodologies. 
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and manufacturing processes is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices. 

 

Please note that this is a consultant position, meaning your duties will be on standby until a client requests your services. Hours and responsibilities may vary based on client needs. As an employee of SpecialT Tech, you will be compensated according to your contract.  

Salary

$125,000 - $165,000 per year
