Mental Health Therapist (Virtual – 1099 Contractor)

Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (1099 Contract)

Location: Remote (Serving clients throughout Maryland)

Compensation: $55–$65 per hour (flat rate)

Schedule: Flexible – Set your own hours

Supervision & CEUs: Free clinical supervision and continuing education provided

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our growing virtual team. You’ll play a vital role in helping clients work through a wide range of concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, spiritual disconnection, and neurodivergent challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual intakes and clinical assessments
• Provide individual, family, and/or couples therapy via telehealth
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and trauma-informed approaches
• Maintain timely, ethical, and accurate documentation in SimplePractice
• Participate in monthly team meetings, optional peer consultations, and ongoing training
• Collaborate with outside providers or support systems as needed to support client care

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field
• Active Maryland licensure (LCPC, LGPC, LCSW-C, LMSW)
• Minimum of 1 year of post-master’s clinical experience preferred
• Must carry (or be willing to obtain) liability insurance
• Must have a quiet, private space for virtual sessions and reliable internet access
