Requirements, Special Skills, or Knowledge:

· One to three years of prior work experience a plus, but other experience and new graduates considered.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Physician Assistant/APRN cares and addresses health care issues to patients of all ages. Provides health care to the patients of South Central Medical & Resource Center, Leopard Nation Wellness Station, and Warrior Nation Wellness Station, following the standards of the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) and at the direction of the Medical Director and/or Supervising Physician.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provides quality, comprehensive, accessible, and cost-effective patient care through clinical expertise, role modeling, mentoring, consultation, interdisciplinary collaboration.

· Performs clinical decision-making that is professional and based on evidence-based practice.

· Places value on being an open and honest communicator who displays high moral and ethical conduct, integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment. Must be a leader in the department and community. Result-oriented problem solver who is responsible and accountable.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements, Special Skills, or Knowledge:

· Recognition as a Nurse Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing Registration and Nursing Education; certification by the appropriate national Certified Nurse Practitioner organization. PA’s must be certified by the NCCPA as well as the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision.

· Demonstrates the ability to work effectively and tactfully with the public and co-workers.

· Exercises good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions, and in expressing ideas effectively both orally and in writing.

· Possesses skill in maintaining medical records.

· Possess a desire to serve patients and be self-motivated. Must have good bedside manners and the ability to make decisions in emergencies.

· Ability to work in a multi-faceted, fast paced environment.

ADA Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

· Able to assist patients on and off an exam table when necessary.
