**Job Title:** Immigration Case Worker / Legal Assistant

**Job Type:** Part-Time

**Location:** Somali Bantu Association of America

**Salary Range:** $20 to $25 per hour

**Job Overview:**

As an Immigration Case Worker / Legal Assistant at Somali Bantu Association of America, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to refugees as they navigate the complex immigration system. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing individualized service plans, and connecting clients to resources and services to support their resettlement and integration.

**Responsibilities:**

- Conduct assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized service plans

- Connect clients to resources and services to support their resettlement and integration

- Provide advocacy, support, and guidance to clients as they navigate the complex immigration system

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation

- Collaborate with the USCRI Office and any other immigration related translation service providers and community partners to ensure clients receive comprehensive support

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field

- Previous experience working with refugee populations and/or in immigration case management

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Fluency in Somali, Dari, Arabic or other relevant languages preferred
