Primary function is to provide personal healthcare and related services to the patient in their place of residence; to assist in providing a safe and clean environment; work cooperatively with the patient, and family; and share observations and problems with the supervisor. Works under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

As a Hospice Aide, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
**Responsibilities:**
- Providing personal care and assistance to patients in accordance with their individual care plans
- Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting patients with mobility and positioning
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicating effectively with the care team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
**Requirements:**
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
- Previous experience working in hospice or a similar setting preferred
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a background check (Note: Solano Care complies with Ban the Box laws and does not inquire about criminal backgrounds during the hiring process)
**Physical and Mental Effort**
Prolonged standing and walking required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition; meet patient and family individualized psychosocial needs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
