Facilitation of On Site Catering Management
Catering Leads must have worked picnics previously and must be knowledgeable in all aspects of catering; food prep, safety, and cooking. They all must exhibit strong leadership skills and have strong oral communication skills. Also must be able to troubleshoot problems at events and keep in close contact with the warehouse via radio as needed. Writes in “Time In and Time Out” on the time sheet and writes summary of the event (problems, potential solutions, items that were left off the load board, etc.) to be reviewed by Sales, H.R., and the Warehouse staff. Responsible for supervising Catering Specialists & the safe preparation & serving of food in accordance with health codes at our picnic events. Staff working in this position must have previous supervisory experience and food preparation experience. Possession of a food handler card is required.
Responsible for all aspects of food presentation and preparation on a picnic event. Checks out food with Executive Chef or designee and drives/delivers food and equipment in a company vehicle to the event. Responsible for all food safety matters on-site. Must possess Food Handler Card. Has extensive knowledge of Picnic People menus and their onsite preparation. Must be able to troubleshoot and communicate difficulties to Staffing Office, Warehouse, Kitchen and Staff effectively. Overall Supervisor on events where there is no Event Supervisor. Must complete an evaluation of each event. Responsible for checking in and recording times of staff. Maintains the Picnic People Brand. Responsible for client communication regarding food buffet line and any special needs.
$18 - $25 per hour
