Description

·  Maintain a clean and sanitary work area

·  Place sanitize bucket on work station to be used between tasks

·  Check and report and equipment malfunctions or failures

·  Responsible for set-up of assigned work station

·  Ensure all products are of the best quality for events

·  Works quickly to complete assignments

·  Strictly adhere to recipe specifications ensuring proper portion sizes and cooking methods are followed

·  Assist in creation and repair of recipes by detailing recipe issues to Chef on Duty

·  Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere throughout the premises

·  Label and date all product before placing in refrigerator or freezer. Always follows “F.I.F.O.” principles

·  Must be familiar with all kitchen equipment and machinery including safe operation and maintenance

·  Adhere to established safety standards and assist in preventing accidents by being aware of hazardous situations

·  Supervise and coach cooks below you through constructive feedback, advice, and demonstration

·  Inform Chef on Duty of any problems, concerns, inconsistencies, or product shortages

·  Remain positive with all kitchen, warehouse, sales, and on-site staff. Treat guests in the kitchen with respect

·  Is capable of packing events with on-site staff to ensure that all product needed for event reaches site safely

·  Practice proper recycling procedures and kitchen energy management

·  Control waste, be aware of the costs attached to you area of responsibility

·  Responsible for proper closing and cleaning procedures associated with your position

·  Checks out with Chef on Duty before leaving to ensure station and prep are stored correctly

·  Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned

Salary

$17.75 - $22 per hour
