Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid; minimum 3 days in-office)

Wage: This internship is unpaid, but we are happy to work with your school to arrange credit. We are also open to revisiting the possibility of compensation in the fall.

Duration: Summer 2024 (with potential for extension or permanent position)

Hours: Up to 38 hours a week

Position Overview:

As a Sales & Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales and marketing managers. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both fields, providing a well-rounded introduction to the business world. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, and possess a positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research on clients, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Prepare insightful reports to support strategic decision-making.


Sales Support:

  • Assist the sales team with administrative tasks.
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals to enable sales managers to focus on client engagement.
  • Help with the Zendesk audit and generate reports.


Marketing Support:

  • Assist the marketing manager with vendor relations and coordination.
  • Support content posting and management across various channels.
  • Collect and analyze survey data to inform and improve marketing campaigns.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work seamlessly with both sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program or recent graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and software (e.g., Zendesk, Google Analytics) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
