Worldview Class Teacher - .05 FTE


Twelve Stones Classical School is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integrated humanities, utilizing a great books, seminar-style pedagogical approach to biblical worldview formation.


As a member of our teaching team, you will be an ambassador for the school, a champion for our students, and a valuable resource for families and faculty. We are looking for someone who embodies love, joy, peace, and spiritual maturity, and who is a dedicated student and lover of the Bible.


Responsibilities:

- Create a positive atmosphere in the classroom to support student learning

- Model and teach virtuous character traits and promote growth in wisdom, virtue, and compassion

- Develop curriculum and lesson plans in line with Twelve Stones' philosophy

- Administer assessments to monitor student progress

- Work collaboratively with parents to ensure student success

- Communicate student progress with parents and collaborate on tasks

- Attend meetings, conferences, and in-services as required

- Coordinate special events and field trips to enrich the curriculum, as appropriate


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree (preferred)

- Passion for shaping young men and women to be servants of Jesus Christ

- Knowledge of literature and the Great Books

- Exposure to philosophy and history

- Commitment to continued learning and growth

- Teaching experience (preferred)


Requirements:

- Computer and internet access

- Ability to learn school management software

- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team

- Warm and caring attitude towards students, parents, and staff


Interpersonal Contacts:

- Contact with students, parents, volunteers, peers, and supervisors

- Ability to communicate routine information and address sensitive issues


Work Environment:

- Classroom setting with occasional supervision duties indoors and outdoors

- Work normal school hours and as needed

- Work from home/offsite setting as required


Physical Demands:

- Stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, reaches, and balances while working

- Majority of time spent standing and walking

- Oral, visual, and auditory capacity for interpersonal communication

Salary

$1,200 - $1,800 per year
