Job Title: Business Development Director

Status: Full-time, Non-exempt

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Remote

Art Pharmacy is currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Director. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, results-driven leader with an ability to think creatively and experience developing strategic partnerships for innovative products and programs with third-party healthcare payers. As the first full-time business development employee with Art Pharmacy, the Business Development Director will work closely with the CEO and will be responsible for the development and implementation of business strategies to secure new payer partnerships and expand to additional markets.

The individual in this role will need to analyze market trends, build relationships with potential clients, and be adaptive to the realities of an early-stage start-up company. They will also be responsible for creating, evaluating, and optimizing company processes and systems.

  • Play a leadership role in the development and implementation of the overall business growth strategy
  • Build strategic partnerships with payers, including managed care organizations, health plans and health systems
  • Identify new markets for Art Pharmacy services and develop strategies for reaching them
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting for growth initiatives
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify new opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Liaise and network with external partners, customers and vendors
  • Create monthly, quarterly and yearly reports detailing progress achieved

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or another related field or equivalent experience
  • Prior business development experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong preference for experience working with managed care, value-based providers and other health plans
  • An in-depth understanding of bringing new products to health plans and other third-party payers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proven ability to adapt to the evolution of a start-up company
  • Experience in budget development and management
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
