We are a candle company founded and run by a kidpreneur from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. We handcraft ethically-sourced soy and coconut wax candles, infusing them with delightful blends of essential oils. Our candles are hand-poured in small batches and are 100% phthalate-free. At Smell of Love Candles, we won't sell anything that we wouldn't use in our own home. And because we believe that we are stronger when we take care of each other, we donate a portion of our monthly profits to charity.

Smell of Love Candles is searching for a strong, energetic, and motivated individual to join our team full-time as a Sales Associate.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Serves customers by helping them select products.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
• Responds to customers’ questions.
• Directs customers by escorting them to products.
• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Manages financial transactions.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards, as applicable.
• Alerts management of potential security issues.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Keeps customers informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
• Building rapport through conversation and honest recommendations.
