We are a candle company founded and run by a kidpreneur from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. We handcraft ethically-sourced soy and coconut wax candles, infusing them with delightful blends of essential oils. Our candles are hand-poured in small batches and are 100% phthalate-free. At Smell of Love Candles, we won't sell anything that we wouldn't use in our own home. And because we believe that we are stronger when we take care of each other, we donate a portion of our monthly profits to charity.

We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our growing marketing department. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, then we want to work with you. Your work will include preparing promotional presentations, monitoring social platforms, working with bloggers, and conducting market analysis.

In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and social media platforms.

Marketing Intern Responsibilities:

• Performing market analysis and research on the latest trends.
• Assisting with daily administrative duties.
• Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas.
• Monitoring all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
• Preparing detailed promotional presentations.
• Helping with the planning and hosting of marketing events.
• Researching and evaluating competitor marketing and digital content.
• Contributing to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content.

Marketing Intern Requirements:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate course for marketing, communications, or in a similar field.
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
• Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a passion for marketing.
• Outstanding multitasking abilities.
