Description

The Role:  

The Sales Development Representative actively supports the sales team by qualifying inbound leads and generating outbound meetings for our Account Executives. SDRs are the first point of contact for many of our new customers and we want to be the first one to tell our story. This team spends much of their day on the phone calling and talking to prospects who are not currently SmartMoving customers. Plus, this role provides abundant opportunities for professional development as the SDR team serves as a launchpad to accelerate your career at SmartMoving!


What you’ll do:  

  • Manage a high volume of outbound calls and emails daily to cold & warm prospects.
  • Manage inbound leads with immediate follow up driving towards qualification and discovery.
  • Employ our highly consultative, tailored, non-pushy sales methodology. Become a teacher.
  • Must be able to overcome objections- You must be resilient and know that each rejection brings you closer to your next success.
  • Assess the quality of a prospect to determine the viability of sales opportunities.
  • Become an expert on our technology and our target markets.
  • Set up product demonstration appointments for our Account Executive teams.
  • Achieve daily, weekly and monthly metrics.
  • Work closely with leadership to constantly improve in your sales role.
  • Build strong networks in and outside the SmartMoving organization.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve our processes and add efficiencies for the team.
  • Adapt to changes in your process - we are always testing new ideas.


What you’ll need:  

  • 1-2 Years in similar sales or development role preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced SaaS Environment
  • Self-motivated and driven to meet sales goals
  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and establish credibility through consultative needs-based conversation
  • Ability to think on your feet to creatively solve our prospects’ business needs
  • Exceptional and persuasive communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have a positive attitude, confident, and desire to be the best
  • Experience with sales technologies such as: HubSpot, Salesloft, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Zoom is preferred
  • Reliable, strong and positive work ethic
  • Strong organization and time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective listening skills and multitasking capabilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Service
